Over sixty-five years of serving members, their families and the communities of Georgia

Since our very first days, our top priority has been to provide members and their families with a safe place to save and borrow money. Times have changed, the way members bank and interact has evolved, but our priorities and values are exactly as they were in 1958.

Our members are the center of everything we do at Georgia United. We work hard to deliver the financial benefits you care about, including lower rates on loans, higher dividends on savings, convenient options in the way you can bank with us and giving back to our local communities.

Through the leadership of CEO Debbie Smith, Georgia United is committed to cultivating a people-first culture dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Georgia United is a corporate partner of the African-American Credit Union Coalition and stands with the AACUC against racism, in addition to being a co-leader of Global Women’s Leadership Network’s Georgia Sister Society, which strives to tackle the industry’s gender gap.

Our mission is to serve with a purpose to enrich the lives of our members, team members and surrounding communities. Our purpose-driven commitment to service is the reason Georgia United stands out from other financial institutions and has been recognized by industry leaders and community partners.

Proof of our positive impact of putting people first, Georgia United has topped Forbes’ Best-In-State Credit Union list multiple times, we continue to be voted Best Credit Union year after year by members and community partners in several counties that we serve, and Georgia United has also achieved the Better Business Bureau’s A + rating, the bureau’s highest grade.

 

COMMUNITY IMPACT

We are committed to building stronger communities by supporting programs and initiatives that help advance financial literacy, strengthen our school systems and enrich the lives of others. 

In addition to the company initiatives, team members are actively involved in the community and are encouraged to volunteer with charities that are important to them. 

To help increase our community outreach, Georgia United Foundation was incorporated in 2016. The foundation helps fund many important programs that are delivered through volunteerism.
