Georgia United Credit Union and Georgia United Foundation are dedicated to supporting impactful programs that enrich the lives of others and strengthen our communities. In addition to our corporate initiatives, team members are provided paid Service Days to volunteer at charities that are important to them. Here are a few recent highlights of how we are serving our community.

It's not necessarily about winning, but bragging rights are nice. One of Georgia United’s bowling squads, Groovy Bowlers, captured first place at the 2022 Credit Union for Kids Bowl-A-Thon, a benefit for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA) held August 27 at Bowlero Chamblee. Even more importantly, team members helped raise a total of $34,689 for CHOA in collaboration with other credit unions in metro Atlanta, and the Georgia United Foundation was a top donor, pledging $2,500. It's all part of Georgia United's purpose of enriching lives and serving our communities. The annual bowl-a-thon has raised more than $450,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 18 years.

Here’s a reminder that Georgia United Foundation is part of AmazonSmile, and it is an easy way to support the foundation while doing your regular online shopping. Select Georgia United Foundation as your preferred charity and AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of eligible purchases to the foundation, at no cost to you. To designate Georgia United Foundation as your favorite charitable organization, click here. To start these contributions, you must shop at instead of or through the Amazon mobile app with AmazonSmile activated. It’s the same convenient shopping experience you expect from Amazon while making a difference.

And speaking of shopping, as you gear up for the winter gift giving season, please consider purchasing a present for or donating to Georgia United Foundation’s Wish Tree to make the holidays brighter for children in foster care. One of the foundation’s longest running community service programs, Wish Tree has provided more than 30,000 gifts for foster children in the communities Georgia United serves. This year’s Wish Tree program will launch on November 7, and more information about how you can participate will be available soon.
